In 1995, Roland Turco, who was employed as a salesman at a wholesaler, realised that managing a private station is a time-consuming task, with the potential for fraud, stock shortages and a lack of traceability. After some market research involving some 1,500 companies, he became obsessed with the idea of creating a profitable, effective solution for managing private fuel stations.
In 1996, Tele-Naro arrives on the scene, a long time before the Internet is available to the general public. Working with technological partners, we launch “Mister Fuel”, an automated PLC unit connected to a telephone line, and “TeleStat”, a piece of software running on Windows 95 connected via a 9600 baud modem, pioneering solutions for innovative remote station management.
In 1998, FINA chooses Tele-Naro for a project involving the promotion of fuels delivered to private fuel stations and associated services. A few years later, FINA became TOTAL Belgium and the commercial relationship continues.
In 2004, Tele-Naro adds the “Special excise duty” module to the TeleStatt program, with accounting methods and a form approved by Belgium’s Customs and Excise authorities. This module automates the accounting processes required for checks and generates official claims in 2 or 3 clicks of a button every month, without any manual effort.
In 2010, Tele-Naro launches “MASTER FUEL” (V1), a next-generation automation unit based on an industrial PC.
At the same time, our software is evolving: “TeleStat” gives way to “WebSt@t”, offering secure data transfer via the Internet and optimised remote supervision.
Pioneers in our industry, we are proud to have published “WebSt@t Online” since 2015. Our software has become an effective, customisable online platform offering a modern, intuitive interface.
To help our customers manage all of the vehicles in their fleet in a single database and via a centralised interface, “WebSt@t Online” is completely adapted to integration and to monitoring the consumption of their electric vehicles.
Having recently graduated from the Hautes Études Commerciales, Julien Turco, son of the company’s founder, Roland Turco, joins Tele-Naro’s Board of Directors. Above and beyond keeping the business in the family, on the brink of a long period of energy transition, Tele-Naro is preparing to uphold its values and pioneering vision.
